I was able to interview yet another Mystic Valley alumna. This time, it was the Eagle Eye's very own and former editor Visnavy Vickneswaran (Class of '16). You may have known her from Latin club, articles she wrote for the Eagle, Key Club- she did it all!
Visnavy is currently a freshman at Tufts University. She has not yet declared her major. She trying out different things such as child development, international relations, literature, and chemistry. Here is what she had to say:

What is one thing you appreciate that MV taught you?

“I am very thankful for learning how to manage my time because it really does make college so much easier! Other than that, I’d say that the people in my grade and our teachers fostered a supportive environment to really help develop our personalities, so I think that I’m most thankful to have learned to be who I am as we grew up at MV.”

How's living in a dorm/commuting?

“I live on campus, and I love it! I think the part that I love most about Tufts is while everyone is so incredibly interesting, they all have the same baseline quality of being extremely kind, so I’m thankful to be able to live with such wonderful people."

"Coming in, I think I was most worried about the shower situation, but I lucked out. I’m living in a house this year, so we get nice single showers, and since there are fewer people in a house, it’s quite tight knit and cozy. And the food here is delicious too, so that’s a plus! (But don’t worry, the hills help burn off the calories.)”

Have you taken a crazy class, or had an interesting professor?

“Haha while Tufts does have crazy classes, I have not taken one yet. I am taking a dance class next semester, though, which is quite crazy for me. I am not a great dancer, but I needed to fulfill an art credit eventually, and it seems like fun!"

"It’s a north Indian dance class, and we’ll learn to depict scenes from the Ramayana. I thought that it would be cool to take something where I would learn more about my culture, so this half credit class seemed like a good fit!”
