I joined Youth and Government (also known as YaG) when Emily Daponta told me about a program that would allow me to get my photo taken and dress up nicely in the Statehouse. I had never heard of it before, but it sounded fun!

Alright, my obsession with this food truck started when the newspaper club went on a field trip to the Boston Herald.  After we were done with the tour of the Herald our club went to a spot in the middle of Boston to get something to eat for lunch before we headed back to school.

I was able to interview yet another Mystic Valley alumna. This time, it was the Eagle Eye's very own and former editor Visnavy Vickneswaran (Class of '16). You may have known her from Latin club, articles she wrote for the Eagle, Key Club- she did it all!

Visnavy is currently a freshman at Tufts University. She has not yet declared her major. She trying out different things such as child development, international relations, literature, and chemistry. Here is what she had to say:

National History Day: Cram and Dias headline MV success in competition

I was able to interview sophomore Josh Cram about his National History Day project. He and fellow sophomore Grace Dias were able to move on to the Greater Boston district competition. They placed second in the group documentary category, qualifying them for the Massachusetts History Day documentary competition. Grace and Josh’s documentary was the first from Mystic Valley to qualify for the state competition.

I had the chance to catch up with Mystic Valley football phenom James LoChirco recently. The senior completed his final season as a do-it-all player for the Eagles in November, capping what has been an unprecedented career in the history of MV athletics. James graduates this spring, and he plans to attend and play football for Division I Bryant University in the fall of 2018.
